The British company Parity Technologies introduced a new version of the wallet for full node in the network Ethereum – Parity Ethereum v2.0.0 – and announced major changes, including the removal of the graphical user interface (GUI).
In fact, the changes mean that the purse Parity, that is, the storage of private keys, does not now exist for the average user without technical knowledge. All «installers and packages for operating systems» were also removed.
According to recently published data for client Parity 2.0, a wallet is positioned as expert software for use in industrial purposes and should not be considered as an end user product or as an Ethereum wallet.
According to the developers, Parity Ethereum is intended solely for mining pools, exchanges and other infrastructure nodes.
«We reflect these strategic changes, completely removing from the client graphical user interface. In addition, we deleted all the installers and the packages specific for your operating system. Thus, we see Parity Ethereum as part of the basic infrastructure that should be included in software packages end-user, such as a graphical purses, or used as a library in mobile applications,» said the company in the description of the wallet.
