In 2018 will be launched five major blockchains

In 2018, the planned launch of five major projects from Tron, EOS, Zilliqa, VeChain and Cardano. They are currently in development, but their beta version was released to private developers for testing.

Tron

March 31, 2018, the founder of Tron Justin (Justin Sun) announced on Twitter about the launch of the test network Tron. The platform focuses on revolutionizing the digital entertainment industry and gambling. More than ten million users have already tested the project.

The framework uses the blockchain and P2P technology to serve the digital entertainment industry. In addition to the major cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ether), the platform also takes its own coins Tronix (TRX). ICO project was announced in September 2017, and the network must be running may 31, 2018.

EOS

Platform Ethereum has become the number one choice for developers who want to create, test, and run their smart contracts and applications. The smart contracts feature of the Ethereum blockchain. They are programmed to perform specific tasks only if certain pre-defined conditions.

Network Ethereum requires that the developers and all the others used the gas for interaction with the main chain. Gas is the basic unit that is used as transaction fees and their Commission. Developers can’t just test the app – they need to spend certain funds.

EOS wants to become an alternative to Ethereum and offer a free platform for smart contracts. Developers can test their products without any upfront costs. If the launch and scale of the project does not involve any cost, it is likely this model will attract a lot of members of the community.

Currently, the test network EOS active and working. Although the launch of core network was planned in the second half of 2018, many believe that it will be running on 2 or 3 June 2018.

Zilliqa

Invest in the Blockchain called a token Zilliqa seventh most influential token ERC-20, existing today. Distinctive features Zilliqa are sharding and its own programming language Scilla. The development team will release more information about the programming language Scilla for smart contracts on the event of the company, to be held in Singapore on may 23, 2018.

Team Zilliqa boldly claims that the blockchain can handle the same number of transactions as Visa. Version test network 1.0 was released in March of 2018, and in the third quarter of 2018 is scheduled to launch the core network.

VeChain

Have VeChain has its own blockchain VeChanThor, which is currently undergoing beta testing, open for 100 users. A public beta version will be launched in June 2018 and will be open to all. The exact launch date of the core network has not yet been confirmed but it is expected to happen in late 2018.

Cardano

Cardano has already launched its core network 29 September 2017, and recently the project team stated that with the latest update the consensus Protocol Cardano will combine the advantages of scalability of the Protocol with PoS level security Protocol PoW.

The launch of core network last fall was not considered an official release, as the network is available only to the chosen few, the miners are tested, verified Fund Cardano, IOHK and Emurgo.

In the road map project emphasizes the start-up of Shelley for the decentralization of the network, after which you will have to wait for the official launch of the core network Cardano. However, this feature will not be added until the third quarter of 2018.
