Crimean ex-officials fined for mining in the workplace

By order of the court of Simferopol ex-employees of the Crimean government was fined 30 thousand rubles each for the abuse of power – mining cryptocurrency in the building of the Cabinet of Ministers, according to the Crimean Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

«The Kyiv district court of Simferopol terminated the criminal case with the purpose of measures of criminal-legal character of the accused in the form of court fines of 30 thousand rubles each,» – said in the message.

According to investigators, 20 September 2016 to 31 January 2017 the government of the Republic of former officials mined the cryptocurrency in the result of which was spent electricity totaling more than 57 thousand rubles. In the course of preliminary investigation the defendants had to pay damages in full.

«Using e-wallet Webmoney they produced conversion is computed using a computer of the apparatus of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea cryptocurrencies in Russian roubles for a total sum more than 15 thousand rubles», – stated in the message.
