Questions nobody asked. But the foreigners completely did not understand and even tried to rebel.»
Because of legislative bans on the holding of ICO, the Chinese authorities regularly undertake special measures for the control of thematic events. But the Shanghai summit interrupted, not even looking at what he was agreed with the authorities.
The technology of the blockchain is recognized as China’s legitimate. But still under the close supervision of regulatory authorities of the country. The official reason for the cancellation of the event was not announced, which gave rise to rumors quickly began to spread in the online media
in social network Weibo. They reported that the investors told the police about the presence at the event representatives of the ICO project, in which they have invested and presumably lost a large amount of money.
However, in a statement to the media summit organizers have denied the rumors and said that the conference was carried out in compliance with Chinese laws. PTP International said:
«We continue to find out reasons for the termination of the event, and has received from the police explanation that this was due to a security threat. Now we are thinking of how to compensate participants. The conference was conducted in compliance with the laws of China and it hasn’t participated in ICO projects.»
Later, the company representative also noted that the firm is waiting for more information from the police.
