ASRock starts selling graphics cards for mining

Motherboard ASRock plans to begin selling four models of video cards, specially designed for cryptocurrency mining.

Last week the company introduced its Phantom series of cards Gaming Series on the basis of RX from AMD. Employee ASRock America confirmed that the four model cards that are created on the basis of a series RX570 designed only for mining. The fifth card RX570 8G OC is a version of this product for gamers. According to the publication PCGamer, maps series RX570 will work on AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition.

Confirmation of issue of new cards appeared soon after the end of last month on Twitter VideoCardz.com, there was a message

This step suggests that ASRock, which has released a line of motherboards for mining in 2013 and continues to develop it, seek to benefit from the demand for GPUs from the miners. This demand has led to the fact that even companies like AMD and Nvidia have significantly increased their profits.

In March of this year, AMD said that fears of falling sales of graphics cards due to the lower demand of the miners.

The ad ASRock appeared almost simultaneously with the news that Bitmain opens
pre-order ASIC miners for Ethereum Antminer E3 in July 2018. The first batch Antminer E3 were sold out within two hours after the announcement, shortly thereafter, started selling the next larger parties for an even later delivery times.
