A suspect in the theft of 600 ASIC miners arrested in Amsterdam

Man accused of «the biggest robbery in the history of Iceland», was arrested in the Netherlands.

The representative of the Dutch police confirmed that Sindri tor Stefansson (Sindri Thor Stefansson), who is accused of stealing mining equipment for $ 2 million, was arrested in Amsterdam on Sunday evening. Prosecutors plan to extradite him back to Iceland, reports News Observer.

Last week Stefansson left the prison normal mode and went to Sweden. In his letter to the Icelandic news organization Frettabladid he claimed contained «two and a half months … without evidence» and was in isolation during his imprisonment. After his detention term expired, he left prison and took a taxi to the airport.
